Holliday Waldorf Salad

Fourth of July is approaching us all, and just for that I would love to share a recipe that my mother made for my siblings and myself when we were just knee high. This salad always brought joy into our family on Thanksgiving as well as the Fourth of July, and I just want to share it with you. A little about this salad, it’s generally made up of fresh apples, celery, pecans or walnuts whatever nuts you like, dressed in Miracle Whip and cream cheese. Are you ready for the na...me, now most of yawl know about it when I tell you the name is the Waldorf Salad. So I’m going to give you the recipe today! I sincerely hope that everyone, have a safe and joyous Fourth of July.

Ingredients:
4 Sweet apples (Granny Smith Apples)
Chopped into bite size pieces
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 celery stalks chopped very thin
½ cut of Pecans or Walnuts, cut in pieces if possible
½ cup of the nuts pieces
½ cup of raisins
½ cup of Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon of either low calorie equal or regular sugar
Directions:
Place apples into bowl
Stir well with lemon juice
Mix miracle whip and sugar into a large bowl add
The rest of the ingredients to the apples mix
The miracle whip into the ingredients chill and serve
